Benchmark Service: Roofing Evaluations
Issue: Benchmark, Inc. was hired to evaluate the condition of a healthcare facility that had been recommended for replacement by two roofing contractors. The owner wasn’t confident in the contractor recommendations to the replace the roofs.
Solution: Benchmark, Inc. conducted a detailed roof evaluation and determined the roof did not require replacement and could perform an additional 6 to 10 years if appropriate repairs and maintenance were made to address failed flashing sealant and curb voids.
Impact: Roof replacement will be deferred for 6 to 10 years, reducing the impact on facility operations and delaying the reroofing expenditure of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
