Sustainable growth requires a strong foundation of expertise, strategic vision, and rigorous financial leadership. As Benchmark continues to expand our roof and pavement consulting services, we rely on experienced professionals who understand how to translate numbers into actionable strategies. We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Nathan Williams as Chief Financial Officer.

Nathan brings a wealth of financial management experience, a proven history of driving corporate growth, and a deeply collaborative approach to his work.

The Value of Strategic Financial Leadership

In the specialized field of roof and pavement consulting, our clients trust us to deliver independent advice and reliable solutions that ensure the long-term sustainability of their facility assets. Achieving this requires our internal operations to run with the same level of precision and strategic foresight that we apply to our clients' projects.

Strategic financial leadership goes far beyond basic accounting. It involves analyzing trends, identifying opportunities for operational efficiency, and ensuring that every department has the resources needed to deliver exceptional service. A strong finance leader acts as an integrator, connecting the dots between sales, marketing, operations, and client success.

By bringing Nathan Williams on board, we strengthen our ability to make informed, data-driven decisions. His expertise will help us optimize our internal processes, invest in new technologies, and expand our capabilities. Ultimately, this translates directly into better outcomes and more innovative solutions for our clients.

A Solid Foundation of Excellence and Expertise

Nathan brings a wealth of financial expertise and a diverse industry background to his new role. He holds dual degrees in Accounting and Health Science from the University of Iowa and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). His career is defined by his ability to adapt his financial expertise to a wide range of industries. After building a strong technical foundation at RSM, he transitioned into the private sector. He took on the role of Controller at Metro Pavers in Iowa City, where he managed financial operations for a heavy civil construction company. This experience in the paving and construction sector gives him valuable context for Benchmark’s pavement consulting operations. Later, as Director of Finance at Iowa Speedway/NASCAR, he honed his skills in strategic forecasting and managing complex revenue streams. Most recently, as Vice President of Finance at Farmers Hen House, he was instrumental in executing strategic initiatives that drove significant corporate growth.

Collaborating to Fuel Benchmark’s Future

At Benchmark, we believe that the best solutions come from strong, collaborative relationships built on trust. Nathan shares this philosophy entirely. He views the finance department not as an isolated function, but as a central hub that supports and empowers the entire organization.

He looks forward to collaborating directly with our consulting teams, operations staff, and executive leadership to help Benchmark grow. By understanding the specific needs and challenges of each department, Nathan plans to develop tailored financial strategies that support their specific goals. This cross-functional alignment ensures that everyone at Benchmark is pulling in the same direction, working together to elevate our client services.

Life Beyond the Ledger: Family and Baseball

When he is not analyzing financial statements or developing growth strategies, Nathan remains highly active in his community.

He is deeply involved in local youth sports, currently serving as the treasurer for the Heat Baseball Club. He also volunteers his time to help coach one of his children's baseball teams.

Family time is a major priority for Nathan. He and his family love to travel, exploring new destinations whenever possible. As proud University of Iowa alumni, they are also avid sports fans who thoroughly enjoy attending sporting events to cheer on the Iowa Hawkeyes.
