Benchmark, Inc., a national roof and pavement consulting firm located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is seeking a qualified candidate to join our team as a Renewable Energy Consultant. This is a new position. The responsibility of this professional role will be to assist our clients in the assessment of energy efficiency, feasibility studies of renewable energy systems, government incentives, and the design and implementation of renewable energy projects, with a specific emphasis on solar.

Responsibilities would also include assisting roof consultants with roof evaluations, roof replacement design, and technical report writing.

Renewable Energy Consultant Position Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in green initiatives, energy management, electrical systems and renewable energy systems
• Experience in providing energy audits, economic and logistical feasibility studies
• Experience with utility regulation and renewable/efficiency programs
• Engineering or architectural degree preferred, LEED accredited professional preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A commitment to quality, integrity and dependability
• Variable travel requirements
